If the booklet is one sided, simply fold along the die cuts backwards, and then slice down the fold with a x-acto knife. I was able to separate a whole booklet of stamps that way. Your stamps end up looking like commemortives you separated using the perforated backing paper.
X-acto knife, mat knife, box cutter, utility knife...any one of them is the weapon of choice. Another method is to save the backing paper then you can simply remove a stamp from the new booklet pane and stick it on the spare backing paper. I don't always have good success with the moving of the stamp and there is some concern about the relocated stamp staying stuck on the backing paper over the course of time.
