When did you decide to block links to imgur?
I just tried to post a link to a picture in the selling forum and it was denied.
An announcement would have been nice....
On another note, EVERY picture I posted a link to on the site is an imgur link. Are they all broken now, or do existing links work, but new submissions are blocked?

It's an image hosting site. I upload my pictures to that site, and then link them to posts here. |

A new member posted a link there the other day and the ads and the teaser images from other albums on the page were absolutely disgusting. Upon further investigation they apparently don't do much about even illegal images. So I'm sorry to say they are no longer allowed. |

Looks like I have a whole lot of posts to edit :-( I always embedded directly so no one had to go to the site. Ah well. Thanks for responding.. |

Unfortunately, there aren't many family friendly image hosting sites left in the world. With cloud storage, most hosting sites no longer feel compelled to monitor the content. It was well done blocking imgur, but I'm certain it won't be the last ...

Hi apastuszak,
Why not just keep an image file on your pc with each jpeg image tilted. Then load them direct to your post using this site's 'choose file', 'image optimiser. and 'load image' buttons. Then your pics will not be pirated on rubbish sites or associated with onanists' memory aids.

Terry Then I can't reuse the same image on multiple sites. |

Only if you post on sites that require you to use an image hosting service. I manage to post from my desktop to most all the sites I contribute to. Not all philately though. But I see your problem. Would making a duplicate file of the master image before optimising it help any.

The solution, as suggested to me by PostmasterGS is to simply host them myself on stamphacks.com, my blog for my stamp page designs. |
