hello all.....

i have been collecting since I was about 4...along with my grandfather....i found such comfort in it all......my grandfather passed 12 years ago and it all went in a drawer.....and recently I have been pulling them out....figuring what to do with them....certain stamps remind me of him and places we have been..expos and all....all of the trappings....tongs....glassines and even watermark fluid trays.....lol...oh where has time gone?

he was a municipal court judge and his go to guy for philately was a bailiff....and going through his albums and seeing the approval cards with the brookman and scott values...condition....stuck in the page where the stamp was mounted......and seeing that those values were less than a third or less of today's values....breaks my heart....

but I have decided to try and winnow down the collection while building up the strong points.....so.....cheers to y'all...

david
