Just picked a bunch of Locals and Cuts up but these 3 struck me as interesting, especially the PHL one. Can I get a little assistance on identifying these. Thanks as always!!

I tried to get lazy and cut it from a larger picture. Here is the PHIL cut which is the one I am the most interested in.

It's not a local, it's a "fancy" postmark used 1834 to 1836 and illustrated in the American Stampless Cover Catalog on Page 185, 3rd edition. However, it is listed only in red, not black. If your copy is a very faded red, then it's a perfect match. In 1978, three sub-varieties were priced $10 to $15 for a complete cover; the $15 variety is 29mm wide, the $10 varieties are 27˝mm wide.

Oh, somebody somewhere would buy it, maybe a collector of Philadelphia precancels. It's well-struck on an adequate-sized piece; I'd ask $7 to $10, considering that the catalog valuation is over 30 years old now.

Thank you sir. I think this one will go in my collection. I will need to get a copy of the American Stampless Cover Catalog as I have about 10 more cancels I would like to reference. Any chance you know where to get one?

I just purchased a couple off ebay really cheap. I am hoping to learn more myself. They are called AMERICAN STAMPLESS COVER CATALOGS – KONWISER AND SAMPSON EDITIONS – 1952 AND 1971.

You could try there or maybe even Amazon or try googling.
