Telling mint from used: on the back of each stamp is a printed space for information about the auto the stamp was to be put on; it is filled out on used stamps. The gum is on the face of these stamps so that they could be pasted on the windshield.

I have always thought the motor vehicle stamps were the ideal solution to the MINT NH craze. Here you have stamps that you can both display the stamp and the gum, since it on the face of the stamp - to be pasted on an auto windshield.
