About 10 years ago, my wife and I
inherited a bunch of stamps (and other stuff, which is another story entirely) from Aunt Helen. Along with lots of old family letters (1860s and on). Nothing great from a stamp collector perspective, but enough to get me interested again after I had collected some stamps as a kid.
We had fun sorting through them, combined them with my old collection from about 1973 and decided we should fill in the gaps. So one thing led to another. We found some fun deals at estate sales and on
ebay and by now we're doing things like trying to find that $4 Columbian to finish that page.
My screen name comes from living down the road from the site of Bacon's Rebellion, plus I grew up in Arkansas and on Razorback fan message boards it's tradition to have a hog-related name of some kind.
