This one is just a regular #26-- very little cat value, but check out the date on the cancellation!!

I have a few nice ones in my 1861 collection-- Jan 1, July 4, June 13 (my birthday) and a couple of December 25ths-- now if I could just find that February 29, 1864 or 1868! Also, I'm always on the lookout for April 14 or 15, 1865....pretty important day in US history.

Enjoy!
Ray

I've a couple of each of the April 14/15 stamps in my collection, a Feb 29, 1868 and some Dec 24/25's & Dec 31/Jan 1's. I collect dates from that era in general. My other Feb 29's are limited to the one FDC the US did on Feb 29, 1988, the Conestoga Wagon 3˘ transportation stamp(2252). fun things to collect for sure.

Ooh, I like that one! I especially like the upside-down "NOV" and the "In Haste" - great stampless cover!
