OK, I admit that these aren't the best, but I finally put them side-by-side and see some slight size differences. Are these both Scott 750, or is one a 770? The left pane has full gum. The stamps are about 36 wide by 21.25 high. On the right pane, we have no gum, obviously trimmed poorly, and the stamps are about 36.5 by 20.75 high.

The second scan attempts to show the left wording in a side-by-side comparison. As you can see, the first line of the trimmed pane is much shorter than the first line of the whole pane.

Is this a normal variation, or do I have two different items? Thanks.

All in all, complicated and confusing. Thank goodness as always for http://www.1847usa.com to explain it properly.

What about the value of the "Farley Folly" vs. the original? If you have a Farley reprint, does that affect the value significantly? Cuz I sure just found out I got one!

Edit-- Just Got my new Scott specialized! Actually I think I have 2 Farley's. There is no cost difference except that if you have a Farley Folly and it is gummed, it can be worth almost twice the original. One of mine is not gummed. The other is too hard to get out and I'm not going to bother.

Thanks to all for the 1847usa reference site. From that site, it appears that I have the Farley Souvenir Sheet (Scott 750) on the left, and a cutout from the Farley Souvenir Pane (Scott 770) on the right. There is some mention about flat plate printing, etc, but nothing specific about actual stamp size, so I'll just have to go with my assumptions above.
