Use a hosting site such as Photobucket (Free account) upload images to Photobucket and then you can insert them into your post. Without seeing it there is no way to tell and single coil stamps might be difficult to have certified since it is easy to alter another similar stamp to make it appear to be a rare one. Coil stamps should be in pairs.

You won't be able to sell it without a cert, so by all means send it in to one of the expertising groups. Odds are pretty small it will be found genuine and you'll be out $30/$40.

Without a scan that's the best I can suggest.

Thanks for the responses. I am going to try Photobucket to
upload an image. I will have it expertised. I know nothing
about stamps and just did some research on the web.
So if I can upload it, I will. I don't know why it won't
upload PDF
Thansk, kalynn

If you have a scanner that would be best. Save it as a JPEG file.

I think you can only upload jpg files here, and the filesize must be <100kB if you want to upload directly (i.e., not use other host).

If you upload it directly, make sure you trim off any unnecessary background outside the stamp paper boundaries so you won't waste the upload size limitations.

Stallzer: I noticed your comment. I have always collected coils in pairs, but I never understood why that was a safeguard against fakes. Couldn't someone trim the edges of a pair of sheet stamps as easily as a single to fake them as coils? I do understand why collecting imperforates in pairs protects against fakes, but coils I don't understand??

because the perforations, or lack there of, between the coild is a great way to ID the legitamate ones. As anything these too can faked and trimmed from an imperforate sheet and fake perfs added but those are normally easily weeded out by those that know what they're looking for. Hope this help?
