In addition to the covers I posted here: https://goscf.com/t/32449I picked up 2 old stamp albums for $10 each that had mostly been picked over but still had some decent stuff in them. yesterday I removed, soaked and dried what was in book 1 - Here are the highlights from book 1: Book 2 has better stuff - just haven't gotten the chance to remove anything yet

That State of North Dakota Cigarette Tax has to be one of the smallest stamps I've ever seen. It's amazing it still survived. |

Thanks for the Manchester links. I'm checking it out now. And speaking of cinderellas, I forgot to add this pic from what was in the 2nd book. |

Thanks!
I have the day off Friday so I'm gonna head up there again and see what else I can find. It's a nice little consignment type antique shop with friendly workers even. The seller has one of those glass display sections to himself. I guess he had just dropped the albums and bags of covers off, priced them to sell and never even got put in his case. The owner of the store told me about them while I was looking at his display. There's a bunch of stuff piled in there that you can't see unless someone unlocks it. I'll have them open it Friday.
Much nicer than seeing overpriced stuff that you usually find in this type of shop.
Think I spent a total of $34 for the albums, 2 big bags of covers and even a couple old baseball cards :) |

Without stuff like this, my collection had come to a slow crawl. Can't afford to be dropping big $ for single stamps to fill a hole here and there. Ordered a bunch of back of book/revenue pages from Mystic over the last few days to keep my interest going. Time to move onto the revenues and oddball stuff I think.
I was actually suffering from major stamp burnout before coming across these too. |
