I don't know much about precancels, but I certainly like the two commems; I have a 10c Panama-Pacific like yours. I wish I had bought some comprehensive precancel catalogs years ago, but I made the decision to go with specialized "country" catalogs, and that has paid off too.

Yes! Precancels are a fun way to collect stamps and most are quite inexpensive.

Just to clarify the examples shown in these previous scans:

First scan, first row, stamps 2, 5, 6 and 7 are NOT considered precancels;
Second scan, first row, stamps 5 and 6, I don't believe are precancels; and
Third scan, third row, stamps 4 and 8 and fourth row, stamp 8 are not precancels either.
