Hello, my suggestion would be to investigate them on your own. Most places that deal with stamps only give 16% of your total value, as if they were buying your set. This is what I ran into anyway. Now they are a part of my family. It is Nice to own a piece of History.
A guy can call himself a stamp appraiser and charge you 50 bucks an hour if you do not sell to him...go to a stamp collector and ask them for an idea of what the collection is worth..they can give you a pretty good ball park figure !! Final word appraisels are not cheap !!
