Hi Phil,
I live in Den Oever, that is in the most northern part of the North-Holland province, about 70 kms north of Amsterdam.

Wow, a small world, isn't it? I thought there was a familiar ring to your nickname although I had no idea what it was. I must have heard it from John at a certain time

I should get in touch with John, I have been a bit absent-minded lately and have neglected stamps and all the stampfriends I have a bit...
if you get to speak to him before I get a chance, say hello from me.

If my memory serves me correct, I believe you were working on a project, the Italian workers issue, and I sent you some stamps
about 2-3 years ago.

It was a post you made either on the Stamporama chat or Stampoffers chat.

It must have been on the Stamporama chat. I used to be quite active over there, until that place went into a coma. Noone knew what had happened to Greg... Stampoffers, for some reason I never really liked the place so I stopped visiting that site.

Projects, yes... I like to take on a challenge but the Italian workers... doubtful. But then again, I don't know what I am up to myself these days so it might as well be one of many abandoned projects

Welcome, Jan.

John Goyette & I went down to Red Hook, NY in 2005 to visit Phil B. & Jopie.

You'll have a ball here!

David

Hi Jan-Simon,

Glad to see you here. Somewhere on this forum is a topic to put where you are from, a map maybe. I can't remember for sure.

Thanks to you all. I will try to get some pictures of my collection and post them here, together with a bit of personal background. But all in good time...

@philb: nice picture of the Dr.I! My brother wil be jealous of you when I tell him that you can go see a Dr.I replica at walking distance. He is now finishing a book on another type made by Fokker, the C.V He told me that it will be translated in English, so if there are any airplane enthousiasts over here... Somewhere next year the book will be published, at least that is what he says now. He has only been working at it for four years, so what is another year
