I have started getting the stamp collection that I inherited from my grandmother categorized and under control. She and I spent many evenings working on the collection while I was growing up - taught me a lot about the countries around the world! I am surprised how quickly it is coming back to me after *many* years being away from collecting stamps.

I have been reviewing the posts on the forum for the last several weeks and want to compliment the members for their openness to answering questions and providing great information. I have already learned several new items that will be assisting me with my collection.

My collection is primarily US - both new and used. I also have quite a few non-US stamps that have been acquired over the years. My first objective is to get my US stamps identified and categorized and then I'll tackle the non-US stamps. I've explained to my husband this is going to take a few years - he probably doesn't realize how many years as he is not a collector!

Again, thanks for a great forum - looking forward to increasing my stamp knowledge and experience.

Beverly
