This news article about the upcoming New England Lighthouses Stamps was just published by Fox News in Providence, RI:
http://www.foxprovidence.com/dpps/n...uses_6321037Although it appears to be a typical news release about the Point Judith Lighthouse Stamp to be issued in Narragansett, RI, the news release goes on to say that:
Quote:
All five lighthouses' stamps will be sold together in a set of 20 stamps. The U.S. Postal Service also created a special strip of five Point Judith lighthouse stamps to be sold in Rhode Island.
I find it odd that with all of the published information about this upcoming stamp, that I haven't seen anything in print (i.e. Postal Bulletin, USPS Website, etc.) that suggests that such special
strips of five stamps will be available.
Will similar strips of 5 be available for EACH of the stamps for each New England State represented by their particular lighthouse? What is the distribution arrangements -- or are they only available at each FDOI ceremony location? Or within each state? Or via SFS?
Does anyone have further information about this? Or could the published information in this media article be inaccurate?
