the USPS Store has now posted the USA Philatelic Catalog (Quarter 3, 2013) that is available for download in pdf format:

https://store.usps.com/store/browse...&categoryId=

It is worth noting that although they have indiciated stock numbers and ordering information for the March on Washington Stamp, no image is yet available.

Further, on page 23, there is an image of the new 2013 Eid Stamp, which is essentially similar to the previous version, only in a different color:

I did a search on these stamps, not knowing what Eid meant. The first thing that popped up was a Snopes.com article about how people say that the stamp was originally issued at the request of President Obama (even though it was issued before he became president).

I'm a bit dubious regarding the suggestion that Pres. Obama requested the issuing of the Eid stamp. The original Eid stamp was released in September, 2001 (Scott #3532). At that time Mr. Obama was serving in the Illinois senate. He was ultimately elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. Now this doesn't discount the extreme possibility that he somehow appealed to other politicos that he knew about honoring the Muslim holiday.
About a year ago, I read some blog that actually tried to slam the President for having the Eid stamp issued in 2009. The implied suggestion was to question the President's religious affiliation. Of course based on the several previous issues of this stamp, this is pure hokum.

You might want to read the "full answer" explanation recorded here for some history about the stamp issue and the US Presidency:

wt1, thanks for locating that authoritative factcheck article, and for putting that baloney to rest about President Obama and the Eid stamp.
