Sounds like something produced by the Franklin Mint. Nice little souvenirs, but that's all they really are, sorry to say. They definitely aren't worth what was charged for them originally, and don't really hold any value.

WPG: Franklin Mint ! Thanks ! forgot about them. right! money making scheme.I suspected as much. They are impressive. Da*ned fancy way to collect mint stamps and the as I said the artwork is supererb. He also gave me on of those gold replica albums
with like 13 covers with the gold reps., of course. A buck apiece is most I can see except for the one with replica of the Inverted Jenny. I had one of those already and sold it for $5.00 at the flea market.

Wow that is a pretty good price for the gold replica covers, most just sit in dealer discount boxes from what I hear. I have a couple myself & have been seduced with fancy artwork before from The Franklin Mint, Postal Commemorative Society, and probaly a few others. Oh Well, hind site is always better.

The Franklin Mint and people like that really tick me off. They take advantage of non-collectors (and probably more than one collector) with their materials. Of course the "Certificate of Authenticity" always makes them worth the 1000% over value they charge.

My wife asked me the other day if I wanter her to buy me a historic $20 (Plus S&H, of course) Obama inaugeration cover she saw advertised in the paper.

I ordered three don't you know!

SDude: It's just my opinion but the Inverted Jenny Gold replica one is the best of the lot. I am holding the other one I have for a good customer now for another 5 bucks. It was in the album of Gold Replicas My friend gave to sell for him.
Generally can't hardly get a buck each for them. last batch I had I sold about 20 for $15.00.
they're kind of like Paris Hilton, nice to look at but there's nothing there worth anything.
Ahoy! Popeye: I ain't even going there.
