Help I came across a perf 11 Franklin, measurements are 19 1/4 mm by 22 1/2 mm. And I've been going nuts not knowing if it is the Scott 596 I've spent countless weeks on this stamp and everything I've researched to identify are spot on I need some advice from you savvy veteran collectors out there to let me know if I'm wasting my time or if I'm on the right track I'd be willing to throw a nice helping fee or tip if it is what I think any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some of we newbies do get excited and forget ourselves. But getting a professional opinion will be your final step.

It seems that Russ just saved you a certification fee. Is this a great forum, or what?

While is is not impossible that you may come across a 596, it is highly unlikely. When you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras.

Yes, but please, whisper...some of our older members tend to nap.

Your images are helpful.
