Very good looking additions to an already beautiful series of stamps. I'll be proud to put those on my mail any day!

No designs yet, but today's Postal Bulletin is announcing a PSA pane of 20 stamps (4 different designs) featuring Farmers Markets (49c Forever Stamps) to be issued sometime in August 2014.

As far as I know, that's a new announcement.

I suppose I'll have to get a block of four for the Farmers Markets. And of course a sheet of the new civil war.

It will have to be a block of eight stamps as the format suggests that there will be four designs in a strip in order to complete the design.

You're right! It'll have to be a strip of 4 then.

OK, I LIKE those farmer's market stamps! Both flowers AND food on stamps... a win-win for my topical collection!

I like the look of the painted scene Civil War stamps a lot, but the farmers market stamps look bland. I would have went with real photos of real people and their homegrown veggies/flowers like you actually see at the farmers market. My grandpa and grandma (or anyone's grandparents for that matter) would have looked a lot better on those stamps!

Are those the only 2 Civil War stamps in the series? Or will there be more added later?

There have been three other Civil War Sesquicentennial sets of stamps issued thus far from this series plus the newest set in process of being issued this year. There should be another set issued next year to conclude the series (2011-2015)that commemorate defining moments from the war-torn years of 1861 to 1865, issued around the time of the Civil War's 150th anniversary.

At the bottom of page 15 and top of page 16 of this thread was information posted in Linn's Stamp News about the upcoming Hudson River School block of 4 stamps. USPSSTAMPS.COM has just posted it on their website at the link below.

As previously announced, the date of issue will be August 21, 2014 in Hartford, CT.

I hope they don't pull the farmers market stamps for not being healthy enough like the let's move issue and helmet-gate.
