I have been reading many of the topics and replies. I have learned quite a bit in the last few hours. thank you all

Seems people like to share interesting covers so here is one I found in a box from an auction.

Seems like the postmaster had too much time on his hands for all the markings!

They got pretty obnoxious, didn't they? Yours looks to date from 1937, six years after sharks forced them to stop using swimmers to swim out to the ships.

There are several threads here with TCM covers. If you haven't seen them yet, they're worth a view, through the Search function.
