Does Lighter Fluid Affect Tagging?

Hi All,

Since most recent USA used stamps cannot be soaked off paper with water anymore, I have started using lighter fluid. The lighter fluid works well for me. I was just recently reading a bit about tagging varieties and got to wondering if the lighter fluid has a detrimental effect on the different types tagging. Was wondering if anyone out there has done some comparisons with tagged stamps before removal from the paper and after removal using lighter fluid.

Any input on this will be welcome. If no respones, I may have to do some experimentation myself and post results here if there is any interest.

I have not heard of any effects on tagging when soaking in Ronsonol.
