Scott #220 on a cover from F. C. Austin Manufacturing Co., located at the corner of Carpenter Street and Carroll Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Mailed on July 15, 1891 to Fred Morley, U. S. Engineer's Office, 157 Ottawa St., Grand Rapids, Michigan.

According to the the reverse of the cover, Austin was the manufacturer of the Largest Line of Earth Handling Machinery in the World! There is a July 16, 1891 receiving postmark and several interesting pictures of the high technology equipment of the day. There is an Austin Back Scraper, a Leader Scraper, a Reversible Road Machine, a Contractors' Plow, and the "New Era" Railroad Builder, Wagon Loader and Ditching Machine.

The Reversible Road Machine would be fun to try out.
