These stamps, used on a parcel in 1963, were issued by the Communist state of East Germany, which in German was known as the Deutsche Demokratische Republik, abbreviated DDR. These stamps came along with a stack of covers I won at a stamp club auction.

Several of the stamps were issued to honor the first woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova. The stamps are:

Scott #673 10 pfennig ultramarine & green Tereshkova and Space
Scott #674 20 pfennig red, black & ochre Tereshkova and map of DDR
Scott #675 20 pfennig red, green & ochre Yuri A. Gagarin (the first man in space) and map of DDR
Scott #676 25 pfennig orange & blue Tereshkova in space capsule

(picture of Tereshkova is from http://www.spacefacts.de)

I don't collect DDR, but I've always taken a good look at their material since they are technically German. They did produce some nice looking stamps.
