Just a few comments for those who might be interested....

Back in April '13 I asked a few questions concerning different ways to organize an ever expanding collection of U.S. precancels.

There were several good replies.

The main one I took to heart was from Trainwreck.

He displayed a couple of black plastic stock pages with some of his stamps mounted with appropriate data labels. That setup provided the best expandable scenario I was seeking.

For the last several months I have been transferring my PC's from hinged homemade pages to 8-S black stock pages arranged by state, town, PSS type and Scott #. I left room between groups to allow for new stamps. Many hours and $80 later the job was done.

The view was worth the climb!! I have recently obtained several lots of PC's to sort through. New examples can be inserted easily into the correct spot in the array of stamps. When things get jammed up due to a lot of new stamps from a given town, I just add a new stock page and move stamps quickly and easily with tongs to make room. This works super great!! All stamps are still arranged in order and they look nice on the black background. My little collection is now in five one-inch three ring binders with each state separated by labeled page dividers. One thing to note: plastic stock pages are a lot heavier than paper, thus the one-inch binders....

This method of collecting PC's will serve me the rest of my collecting life. Thanks again Trainwreck!

I'm so glad you posted this topic again. This morning I was pulling out my hair while I was working on my home made album pages for my PCs, which I will now abandon. Looks like I need to get some Vario 8s pages. Being new to PCs I was at a lost.

Thanks begoniabo and to you Trainwreck!
