I made a short visit to a stamp & coin dealer in Little Rock yesterday. He had 8 binders of beautiful Third Reich propaganda material including covers, souvenir sheets, etc.

All I need is $11K from my government. If anyone knows who to contact, please let me know.

I also am going to need a grant for my Lincoln collection this year. However, I don't think I will need $11k. I'll settle for $1,000

Sdude: Apply for a grant to study the feasability of turning sections of Route 66 into a National Park.
Ought to be worth a couple of mil. Since it starts in Chicago, it ought to be a piece of cake (chocolate).
BTW: you ought see the cool shirt I got for Christmas. Will send you a pic , soon as I figure out how to do it.

stampoholic,
There already is a bill with proceeds going toward Route 66 national preservation in conjunction with the National Park Service. However, I think it could be swept under the rug and not renewed. There are a few disjointed sections under protection of NPS as footpaths and on land protected because of historical events. There is also a nationwide bike trail in the works that will be along route 66 and other historic trails, highways, and routes.

Can't wait to see your new shirt!
