I have tried to place a new image of the stamp in question - Canal Zone 71A Inverted Canal Zone. Hopefully this works, and maybe it is good enough to evaluate. Thank you - Ken.
Extremely doubtful. The letters are not level, so the Z is above the O which is below the N and E. Genuine overprints were never that sloppy, the letters are always in a straight line relative to each other.
