Just for fun, I checked today's USPS ebay listings for Holiday Stamps sold, which resulted in this interesting graph of what are the "best sellers":

Of course, it's only based on ebay sales as of today (12/12/2013), since the USPS Store's website doesn't provide such sales info., nor does it include retail sales at post offices. No matter, it does give some insight into the popularity of stamps for this Holiday Season.

No surprise that the Gingerbread House stamps take the lead, however, since both the 2012 and 2013 Holy Family stamps are essentially the same except for the format and date, if you combine those sales, they actually exceed the Poinsettia in overall sales.

The gingerbread stamp is no surprise to me either but I think the poinsetta might just sell year round.

I used the poinsettia stamp on my Christmas cards. I think the stamps are very attractive.

I agree with you on the poinsettia. I used up my extra of the gingerbread and the poinsettia already. I'm starting to use the medal of honor and the harry potter now.

For my Christmas cards I used the gingerbread, Holy Family, and the poinsettia.
All of them are nice issues.

Hold on... I know last year's Holy Family (I picked up a sheet this year), but which is Virgin & Child? The two "families" have me confused...

Also, not trying to be mean, but it does go to show that the Hanukkah, etc stamps are sort of a waste. UNLESS the actual sales figures from all sales sources show better numbers. (I didn't know the USPS sold stamps through ebay!)

Can we see some production figures of these less popular stamps for comparison?

Kwanzaa zero? Oy! ...

Agree and echo others on the poinsettias. They're nice.

I actually played around with this through 12/31/2013 and came up with this summary (the pie chart didn't really change):

And remember that the figures noted reflect full booklet or pane purchases; not single stamps. So when you read 4525 Gingerbread Houses Stamps were sold, it's booklets, which represents 90,500 of those stamps at $0.46 = $41,630 worth.
