I got the booklet on Friday, and I see that each of the folds is perforated, so I'm thinking of just separating it into blocks and mounting it that way.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do at this point. I sent in my FDC's but nothing else at this time. Tom |

I received my Harry Potter booklet today and also face the quandary of how to mount in my album. Most booklets I have separated the section with the front label and 4-stamps on the opposite side. Others (if greater than 4 types) I mount the whole book. This booklet when opened will not fit onto a page unless folded. So I am thinking of separating them and mounting them .. Might need to purchase another booklet to retain one as un-burst or whole. Good marketing device but hits the pocket. (At least the kids can still use for postage later) |

I'm also in a dilemma with these. I bought two and opened them up to different views in m album. |

Received my Mystic supplement for 2013, and, as usual, I would have done it differently. However, on the positive side, Mystic does have the Harry Potters spread over five pages. This seems the only practical way to do it rather than just having it all folded up and not really displaying the stamps. |

Are they at least grouped together, or do they expect you to mount individual stamps? |

I was thinking along the same lines. Keep one pane intact as it comes from the post office; split the other into the individual mini-panes so they can be mounted and displayed on a standard album page; and, if one is so inclined, buy a third pane and create a supplemental album page with spaces for just the separate detached stamps (or blocks of stamps) but without any selvage.
It is my guess that the stamp catalog publishers will identify the value of the full pane as those being left in "post office fresh" condition (i.e. intact, and not separated by individual panes) although with 5 million panes hitting the market, I don't think there's much of a chance of these panes increasing in value to the point where one would regret mounting them in any way they feel appropriate.

Yes, Mystic has the Harry Potters divided into the five panes each occupying a different page and not by single stamps. My continuing complaint with Mystic though is with the se-tenant blocks that they choose to split into individual stamp spaces. For the life of me, I can't understand why they do it that way. As I see it, if they had the se-tenants displayed as blocks both those of us who prefer to keep se-tenant blocks intact as well as those who choose to divide them up would be happy. I figure I'll have to "re-create" as many as ten separate pages to have them the way I want. Oh, and there's no space for #4737A, the Tufted Puffin variety. Can't really blame Mystic for this. They'd probably gone to press already with the 2013 supplement when it was identified and Scott gave it the major variety designation. |

Linn's has just published their January Edition with assigned Scott #'s for new issuances. They are handling the Potter issues as singles, group of 4 (panel) and intact booklet. I will be mounting an intact booklet, the 5-panels (of 4), appropriate FDC (relevant to panel) and using a 3rd booklet for postage and mounting the artwork on the reverse of the panels. |

It was too much work. I needed to modify more than half the pages. That's why I am doing my own pages for 2001-2013. |

Looks like one will have to purchase 3 sets of Harry Potter stamps to fill the pages in Scott's National 2013 supplement one for singles, one for panels and the other for entire- maybey the have stock in USPS. HaHa. |

I'm thinking of putting some kind of sleave in the album to slide the booklet into. I don't expect I will take it out more than 10 to 20 times to look at it in my life time. Maybe some kind of sleave that will allow me to open the booklet part way to show stamps and the cover.

The Scott National Album splits up the booklet, so that's what I did. These will never have much value, so I did not mind splitting them up into blocks |
