Does anyone see a grill on the back of this stamp that covers all of the stamp or some of the stamp. Thanks for looking Steve.

Sorry, Stever, hard for me to tell from the scan. Maybe someone

Stever.....

Try looking at it with side lighting......it generally shows grills better.

I do see some irregular lines in the areas you mention.
However there is no clear matrix or boundaries which define a grilled area.
I would say no grill.

With my untrained eye and the photo you provided it would be hard for me to say it is grilled.

Adding my 1 cents worth, looking at enlarged pic with my 10x magnifying glass, and my reading glasses on I don't see any grill or any lines, looks like just soft porous paper to me.

Guess my eyesight's better today , can see the grill without a magnifying glass. That's great1 You took advantage of the APS special?
As long as we're talking about grills have a U.S. #113 #114 that I just can't see a grill at all. can they be pressed out
to forge one without a grill? scott doesn't even list them used without a grill , the regular issues, I mean.

Many grills are pressed out without a necessary intent to defraud. They are often pressed out simply by drying under pressure after soaking. On this one, I sure don't see a grill. And if APS did a quickie based on a scan, I'd sure be interested to know where they see it.
