Can anyone explain to me what this means?
I am looking at a Scott catalog and the stamp is a 2 cent Washington #220- A61 of 1890.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Bandicoot.....

Here's an old photo id card that shows the caps on both 2's, and another color shot.

Thanks so much for clearing this up for me. There are so many variations that it is very hard for the untrained ole man like me.
But as always I know I can expert advise for the right price.
Thanks again

I don't think the "squiggly" coming outof the left two is the cap variety. The photos in Scott specialized show the cap to be a fairly wide raised area on top of the two.

G'Day Bandicoot I read that you can find the "cap" on the left or right and left but never the right by its self
regards Harry
