I along with acanalizo am glad for the release of the Charlie Brown stamps for my granddaughters and students. They are excited about the releases. I think that anything that can be used to encourage stamp collecting is a good thing. I recently went to the Minnesota show and saw nothing but old men and women there sitting on chairs in front of old dealers critically analyzing one of a hundred different Washington stamps. Kids have no interest in that. Allison my older granddaughter is planning on an entire notebook of the Charlie Brown stamps. I meant no disrespect to anyone

sdtom, excellent points.

I choose not to collect stamps that are aesthetically unappealing to me, and which cannot be easily removed from their backing paper.

sd - while there is still time, the new person in charge of Stamp Services indicated it will not happen

Peter - yes, some damage was done. I feel the unverts and the flood of imperfs is worse than one resticted S/S. We shouldn't be seeing another unvert, but it looks like we are stuck with the imperfs.

elegies: $6.25 for a strip of 25 ... cost per stamp is 25-cents. That doesn't include the $1.30 shipping. If you have other stamps to order, the shipping "feels" cheaper. If your total order reaches $50, the shipping fee rises to $1.85.

JL: thanks for the info. I am putting an interim SF order together so I will be trying to keep it under the $50 but even the $1.85 isn't as obscene as an AMOS minimal order s&h, which I am also putting together.
