Hi - I found this site a few days ago and finally joined. I was looking for some album ideas and found the site through Google.

I live in the NYC metro area and have been collecting since the 60's - with a few starts and stops along the way. I specialize in pre-decimal Australia, but also have a large International (Scott International Series), and US (Mystic Heirloom) collection.

Most recently I've been focusing on the KGV and Kangaroo issues from Australia, but I love buying kiloware from new countries and soaking, drying, sorting, and mounting them.

ebay has completely changed how I collect - now I can easily sell off duplicates or items I'm no longer interested in keeping to fund new purchases. Unfortunately, that has also driven many dealers out of business as many collectors do the same flooding the market with inexpensive items.

Paul

Welcome. Glad to have you with us. I miss NY. Lived in Boro Park from 1981-84. Loved the different seasons, especially the snow. The Japanese Gardens in Prospect Park are very beautiful, especially after fresh fallen snow. Looking forward to your participation.
