hey everyone, i'm new here and this is my first post,

I have a small collection(mixed up unsorted pile really) of stamps and I have decided I'd like to sell off some to raise a few bucks for school. I picked out these stamps to start with, and dont know where to go to get a good idea of their value... my eyes hurt, and I have a headache from trying to look up each one on google!

any advice of a time efficient way to look up my stamps?
I don't have hours to spend everyday looking this stuff, up with school, as much as I enjoy spending time learning about them!

Thanks,
geofri

Welcome to the stamp community, geofri!

Unfortunately I don't see any stamps of significant value in this group. You can check stamp values by consulting Scott's Catalogues. There are seven volumes in the set. Each volume contains countries belonging to a part of the alphabet. Many public libraries have a complete set that you can use. You can also find used sets on ebay.

Thanks! I had heard "scotts value" but never knew what it really was.
I'll definitely check the library. I might even see if the campus library has the set.

Just for an idea, would you be able to pin down a rough value of the stamps? like under $5, $10..?
I see so many small lots on ebay starting off at $.99 it kinda makes me lose steam...

I haven't carefully checked every single stamp, just scanned over the lot of them. Unless there is a real sleeper (an unrecognized valuable stamp) I would say definitely under $5.00., closer to $1 or so.
