Is the Wonder Color Gauge by Meghrig any use for US stamps?

The Meghrig color gauge was promoted for use with US postal cards. After I purchased one I always wondered how the company could stay in business and I am not referring to the price.

I have a Meghrig Wonder Color Gauge. I specialize in #10 and #11 colors, and the gauge failed miserably with those issues - Way off. My experience made me think it was designed with European stamps in mind. I don't know how they ended up with the colors they did.

I bought one and tried using it once. I agree the colors don't seem to match anything terms listed by Scott.

There's nothing better than a genuine certified color reference stamp that is specific to a specific stamp issue.
