US Scott 634A - Did I Find My First Long Ear?

I believe the long ear variety is the one on the left.



A closeup of the design of the left stamp:



I am not sure if the bold white squiggle line in the upper right corner is just a plate variety or if they help identify this as a long ear.

From what I can see on my monitor, I don't think that's a 634A... No bold hair lines on the top of the head and the circle on the very bottom-left of the stamp is too thick

It's great to see examples of these things! So often trying to identify something from a written description is hard to do. Seeing an example makes it seem so obvious............

stampcrow -- you are right. I am frequently baffled by the poor quantity and quality of photos in those very expensive soi-disant specialized catalogs that are supposed to be helping us with tricky differentiations.
