Someone has scott# 842 stamp for sale, I am a bit confused though. 842 is a coil stamp with vert perf. so it would have perf up and down and straight edges on top and bottom. The one this person has up for sale has straight edge on left side and bottom and perf on right side and top. Would this stamp for sale be 842?

Sounds like a Scott #807 taken from the LL position of a booklet pane of 6 as shown below. (The entire booklet pane is known as a Scott 807a):



In the above example, the entire booklet pane just sold on ebay for 99 cents, so the value is quite minimal.

It sounds like a single from a booklet pane of 6, which, if it was attached to the other 5, would be an 807a. I see that wt1 replied while I was thinking about it.
