I inherited my father's collection a couple of years ago, and have spent a lot of time going through his holdings and sorting things out and trying to restore order to holdings that were in some disarray as my father gradually lost the ability to maintain his collection although he still enjoyed acquiring stamps. I've thoroughly enjoyed the process and have learned a lot. Not only about the stamps themselves, but also about broader topics such as the importance of postal service as an indicator of a government's legitimacy. My father focused on China (Imperial, Republic, PRC, Taiwan, Hong Kong), but also had considerable holdings of USA, Canada, and UK.

I'm happy to have found SCF, as I have a lot of questions, which I'll start to post in the appropriate forums. I'm looking forward to "talking" with you all.

-Jim
