The blue paper on this stamp really stands out. Looks like 1878 stamped cancel?

That is offset from ink from the paper the stamp was attached to most likely.

Here's my R152b. I see there is a double transfer version. Does the slight doubling at the top qualify?

I would not consider that a double transfer. There was a slight transfer roll slippage there, but if you have to look that hard to find it is is just flyspecking.
There were supposedly 228,351,869 examples issued by both the National Bank Note Co first and then the BEP, so there are likely to be any number of these very minor varieties.
