I can not find a listing for an 11c greenish blue HAYES perf. 11 with measurements of 19.25 mm x 22.5 mm. What would this be? New discovery?

Contrary to Scott's listing of the 692 as "light blue", you'll find very few of them in light blue... as a matter of fact, light blue is actually the exception if you look at all of the listings for it... most copies are either greenish or blue-green... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...&_sacat=3461If you want a REAL light blue, there's a few of them you'll find in the link... |

I don't think $2 million is enough, after all the British Guiana brought $9 million and this is just as rare. It just needs a good story, found while searching for that rare Washington Bicentennial or something. |

Agreed, a good story helps. But so does a catchy marketing name; perhaps use "RARE, ONE-OF-A-KIND, GREEN WITH ENVY HAYES"

Lets not let facts get in the way of a good story here. I am sure he already has it listed for some outrageous amount. |

Some of the higher denomination flat plate stamps of the 1922 issue were printed on "special paper" left over from the conversion of booklet pane printing from flat plate to rotary press. The paper has horizontal grain instead of vertical grain normally used for sheet stamp production. The resulting stamps were somewhat wider and a bit shorter because paper shrinkage occurred in the vertical direction instead of horizontal. The 2010 Durland Standard Plate Number Catalog lists all of the plate affected for the 11, 12, 15, 20, 25 and 30 cent denominations, the Beacon air mail and the E13 flat plate 15 cent special delivery. Some of the plates are quite scarce.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...221480316779Above is a stamp I sold today.... it went for 99c.... Do you think that is feasible for buying it, scanning it, listing fee, selling fee and PayPal fees?? It is what it is.... If buyers get some good deals they will be back. As in baseball terminology...Try to hit a single each time....they add up. Not a home run all the time. |

Kevin... you are so right... after the great deal you gave me on the block of 537's two months ago, (thank you) I browse through your listings all the time...
June was a big stamp buy month for me, so I pretty much spent my July stamp budget... but "I'll be back" for more in August...
