Since there are numerous recognized "top hat" cancels from Danbury, Conn and a couple of other places you might want to rethink what you are calling that last one, inasmuch as it is nothing like the recognized top hat varieties. |

Neat cancels! The M in circle is very similar to the Cole-listed Lm-43 from Mystic, CT (and probably is). The other star-within-star is a nice cancel as well. |

I've always wondered if this cancel represents any sort of a recognized design (or animial?) or is it just a "blob"? |

Would this be an American Bar cancel from 1889? This one I cannot seem to find. Perhaps I'd need the full cover, to be able to learn what it is. |

Folks - remember that anyone who wants a FREE copy of my New York Foreign Mail pocket guide can upload it from my website (thanks to 51Studebaker of course!) at www.stampexpertizing.com. And may I humbly request that anyone referring to me in a thread, *PLEASE* call me "Bill" instead of "Mr. Weiss"! Thanks so much...... |

Just picked up these three (of course the middle one isn't really fancy, but the other two are decent). |

Neat cancels, eyeonwall! The geometric cancel on 65 is bold and wouldn't completely fit on the stamp even if it were SOTN and the leaf cancel is fairly well centered on the stamp. Nice acquisitions! |

Nothing too fancy but it fits here. Multiple usage cover with a geometrical style generic "crossroads" cancel. A Close-up |
