Hello Linguist! I have a knack for languages and now at 70 years old, which I had been a Linguist, but my life was filled with everything having to do with aviation: HAWK missile internal guidance electronic repairman, helicopter pilot, fixed wing, multi engine, commercial pilot and instructor pilot.
Spent most of my life as an Air Traffic Controller at Albuquerque, Chicago and DC. Spent time near the end of my career as an Aircraft Accident and Safety Investigator.
Oh, stamps? Yes, I like you and many other collectors, had collected, stopped, started ect. However, when my first born son was in middle school, overnight, somehow he owned my collection. I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise. BUT, a few months ago at the age of 45, he gave it back to me - I hadn't realized how much I missed it!
I now collect Canal Zone, early US including Revenues and the like, EFO's and BOB's in general. EFO stands for Errors, Freaks and Oddities. BOB stands for Back of the Book (generally the last, back, pages of a catalogue, like the Scott catalogue.
I live near the US Centennial Divide which attracts many hikers/cyclists from countries around you. I haven't met a Finn yet,but someday, hope to.
You have a great day/evening!
