How do you tell the difference between scott 3452 and 3453 once they are on an envelope? 3452 says coil and 3453 says coil self-adhesive.

Scott US #3452 has water activated gum, it's not self adhesive. It is perfed 9 3/4.

#3453 is die cut 10.

In addition, the wavy die-cuts on 3453 do not run all the way up the stamp. There is a short vertical span at the top of the stamp before the wavy die-cuts begin. This does not occur on 3452.

There are three varieties of the die-cut stamp, Scott 3453.
A 'Jumbo' stamp exists, larger than a regular stamp, with a bold black date.
A normal size stamp exists with a bold black date.
And a normal size stamp with a light grey date exists.
