Hi Jesse L. My wife and I lived in Mocksville, NC for a 4 year period about 10 years ago. I was retired and my wife taught preschool at Davie Elementary. She loved it. We loved Mocksville, but love the West more, way more! We live in the western mountains of New Mexico at 8,000 feet above mean sea level.
You name the western animals and they are, for the most part, here. Neighbors? Until recently when a fellow built on the lot next to ours, over the mountain and out of sight, our nearest neighbor was 5 miles away! Minimal lot size is 20 acrea. Ours is 68.
You seem to have the same story as a lot of us here; started collecting, and as you say, life got in the way, and are now back collecting!

I am very sorry to hear that you had succumbed to that dastardly Lyme disease. When I was in the woods of Virgina investigating a Cessna 210N model aircraft accident, I turned one of the detached wings over, and yuck, it appeared there wasn't a single MM without a tick on it! I shuttered. I was bloused and had head gear, but still...I shutter!!
I have, as of late, significantly narrowed my collecting field to Canal Zone, early US including Revenues and the like, EFO's and BOB's in general. Oh, I forgot coils, especially error ones!
