Maybe I'm missing something, but how is this so-called ebay auction going to help the USPS's bottom line? Only six lots and nothing over $25 in bids yet. It just doesn't seem worth all the effort in staff time to make it worthwhile. Certainly, the USPS could have expanded their offerings to prompt more interest, don't you think?!
What's even funnier is that Linn's ran an article on these. I hope I can count on them to tell their subscribers about MY ebay auctions the next time I list 6 inexpensive and inconsequential lots... LOL
For anyone who may not have caught up with the results of this ridiculous auction of only 6 lots (with only 3 selling, because the others didn't meet the reserve), the USPS realized the grand sum of only $135.
I wonder how the USPS feels about this? It seems to me it wasn't even worth the effort.
wt1, the reason they got so much ($135) was because Linn's promoted the auctions, LOL! BTW, I'm still waiting for a response explaining what I need to do to get similar coverage the next time I put a couple inexpensive/common lots on ebay...
