These sheets may have started out as a money-grabbing device by the USPS, but they do possess undeniable aesthetic merits when dealing with any stamp issue where its design extends over multiple stamps.
I received the Farmers Markets press sheet w/o die cuts today and found the image of the quadripartition stamps quite stunning. The presence of die cuts would certainly have spoiled the image aesthetically. The same thing would of course also apply to the 2012 issue of Santa and Sleigh stamps.
