Color on most proofs are more intense/vivid than on the actual stamps. Believe it or not, I don't collect revenue proofs or essays. Just dealing with the actual 1st-3rd issue stamps, their cancels, and usages is enough of a time and money sink for me. It's also why I don't really do anything much with 20th-century revenues other than dabble.
They are seriously overpriced anyway. Proofs have been a weak market for the last 35 years, since the end of the Essay-Proof Society. It's a shame, they are usually very attractive, and in some cases are far less expensive and easier to get than their stamp counterparts. Collectors who can't afford an R17a or a set of 1869's can still get the proofs and at least have something close.
It's a fake R69b part perf made from trimming an R69c. It is absolutely WORTHLESS, but there are far too many uneducated novice revenue collectors out there hoping to win the lottery.
