My eyes have now gone batty from trying to find a plating match for this one. The position is 41L and since it's a type V it can only come from plates 5 - 10, and with that being said Neinken notes that 41L8 (Plate 8) position has no plating marks. I would think this should be a easier task....... Sinclair ? Ray ?

*EDITED* for too many fat finger typing mistakes.

The Franklin Archive notes some suspected plating marks on 41L8, but doesn't know if they are consistent. I don't see them on your stamp but the cancel could be in the way of one mark.

Yes, I did run through the slingshot venus sight a few times over trying to match it up and did look at his 41L8 example and saw the same thing. If they are there, they're hidden by the cancel.

I think you got it right through the process of elimination. None of the other plate positions seem to match your stamp.

Maybe you found the first stamp ever from the elusive plate 6!
