I have been to 3 different sites that give good examples of what to look foe in a 534B. But either I am color blind our my eye site is failing me, I can't for the life of me figure this out with out sending them in for sure. Further, there are no water marks which I understand the 534B does not have.

Onetusk... here's an enlargement of your pair...
from what appears is Flat Plate Scott # 482,
not offset 534(anything)...

What would help in further ID'ing for you, would
be if you uploaded a 1200dpi clear scan of both
the face and the gum sides...

you'll see a 528B which I posted... that's what
a 534B would look like (minus the perfs)...

onetusk: I agree with disi on this one, most likely SC409 if single line watermark, or SC482 if unwatermarked.
The color and impression look like 409, even though you cannot find the watermark.

Go to the site www.1847usa.com. It has almost every distinguishing type characteristic of the various Washington/Franklin die types as well as other useful information. The identifier for 2 cent offset types IV through VII can be found at on the site. [I removed the link because the Forum Code url link does not function as documented.]

Why speculate when it is possible to verify. By the way, the pair looks more like a vertical 409 imperforate coil pair than 482, but it could be either.
