Hello everyone.

Well I first tried to start collecting stamps about 2 years ago, but life threw me a curve ball and I just didn't have the time or drive to do anything else at the time.
Now things are looking up and I am starting back up again. I like to read the different things here and there about what different people like to collect and how they orginize their collection. Mine is just starting out and I look forward to simply taking it one day at a time.
I have read that some folks only hold on to about 4 or 5 stamps and put the rest away for trade/give-a-way. My general question is what is done with those 4 or 5 that are kept? Is there a particular way they are stored, plastic tub, envelops, boxes, etc. Are they by topic, number, color, etc.
Some more insight on how other store stamps migh be helpful to me.

thanks!
