As mentioned in a couple of other threads, the SCF is listed in this month's AP. I recieved the SCF copy of the AP today and I'll mail it to the first non-APS member who emails me their address.

We're almost in the big time now! We'll only get in trouble if those rumors about the Aussies and steroids hit the papers!

Swabbie, that brings up an interesting point..like yourself I used to get two copies of the American Philatelist..it felt kind of silly getting two in the mail every month..no one at the club seemed to want the second copy so I had it sent to the Red Hook public library..one day I will stop in and see if its on display and gets any use !!

Lets get one thing cleared up with the APS...they send me circuit books for my stamp club/chapter..as I am the APS representative for the chapter. the SCF APS number is now common knowledge on the internet..How will the APS know who is a legitimate member when ordering from the sales division ???

Does it really work that way regarding ordering or using the resources of the APS for a chapter member?

Wouldn't the individual chapter member have to an APS member themselves as opposed just using SCF's chapter number?

I know that the brick and mortar club I belong to is a chapter of the APS and doesn't have to pay annual dues because there are enough individual members of the club that are also APS members. I am not sure that I would be able to use APS services with the chapter's APS number and not being the representative of the club.

I think the same thing came up on another philatelic internet group that is an APS affiliate or chapter.
